CNC & Communications

CNC communication and program verification

We connect every CNC control on your shop floor to send and receive programs without USB sticks or version errors, and we verify each G-code by simulation before the machine starts.

CIMCO: CNC program management and communication (DNC) with NC-Base

What we do

  • Networked program communication and transfer (DNC)
  • Management and version control of CNC programs
  • Full machine simulation and collision detection
  • G-code optimisation to reduce cycle times
  • Programming of sliding-head machines (Swiss-Style)

What you gain

  • Zero stoppages from wrong or out-of-date programs
  • Shorter cycles on the same machine
  • Traceability of which program runs on each control

Frequently asked questions

What is DNC and why do I need it?

DNC (Distributed Numerical Control) is the networked communication between your system and the CNC controls. It eliminates USB sticks, prevents wrong versions and keeps a record of which program was sent to each machine.

Does the simulation detect real collisions?

Yes. We simulate the machine's full kinematics (tool, fixture and bed) to detect collisions and over-travel before machining.

How much can cycle time be reduced by optimising the G-code?

It depends on the part and the machine, but optimising feeds and toolpaths usually delivers a measurable cut in cycle times without affecting part quality.
